Working with DVF and specifically Charlie was a refreshing experience, one I would gladly repeat.

Like most technologists who use a certain professional social media platform, I am usually inundated with offers to engage with recruitment consultants for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Predominantly, the job specifications shared do not meet the vastly inflated initial approach. With my approach from DVF having a familiar initial conversation to discuss my current job focus, I was as normal sceptical that this would no doubt come to nothing.

In my recent experience with DVF, this was not the end of the conversation but the start of a journey to me finding a new role that I would not have considered. Once the initial conversation was completed, it was clear that I had been assessed for my suitability and that the discussion with the employer to present me as the most suitable candidate that they should consider.

Throughout the process, Charlie was clear and concise with both the employer's needs and mine as an individual so that both parties felt engaged and considered. I feel that Charlie ensured that I was aware of the employer's needs and how I should proposition myself so that when in discussion about the role I had the opportunity to present myself in the most favourable way. This helped to ensure that all conversations were not wasted, allowing the interview process to be efficient and constructive.

When the role was secured, the conversations continued through the notice period to ensure all parties were comfortable and no issues were foreseen with the start date. Since being in the new role, the relationship has continued with regular check-ins to make sure the role meets the original expectation.

Working with DVF and specifically with Charlie has been an amazing experience. They have reset my negative thoughts around recruiting via the professional social media platform in question. I now feel almost part of the DVF family and thank Charlie for approaching me in the first place and sending me on a new career journey.
