My daughter recently had her graduation as she prepares to go to big school in September and it got me thinking about why Flexible / Remote work is so important and the positives it offers in day to day life. 
 
Working for DVF Recruitment/Career Legal who have always offered flexible and hybrid working, meant I was able to attend my daughters biggest school event to date. To see her joy at having her mummy and daddy watch her was amazing and I really valued sharing this special moment as a family.

I haven’t always worked for companies that offered the opportunity to work in a remote / flexible way and looking back I have huge sympathy for former colleagues that were parents or anyone else that has missed these types of occasion or had to take a full day off to attend them due to not having flexability on offer. 

Working for someone that sends and promotes the powerful message of "we trust you." acknowledges professionalism and someone’s ability to manage their work-life balance effectively.
 

Happy employees = More productivity

Worklife balance = Improved job satisfaction
 
It makes me wonder, If you can't trust your employees to work flexibly, why hire them in the first place?
 
I am extremely thankful I have the flexibility on offer that allows me to be part of these priceless moments as I watch my children grow up.
