We’re working with a prestigious international law firm to recruit a Procurement Specialist who will play a crucial role in managing supplier relationships and ensuring the firm secures the best value and service. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact procurement projects across multiple business areas, including Marketing, Compliance, Finance, and SaaS agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to ensure suppliers deliver both value and top-tier service to the firm.
  • Manage procurement and sourcing projects within key indirect spend categories, including Business Development, Risk & Compliance, and IT.
  • Oversee contract renewals, ensuring agreements continue to meet business and operational needs.
  • Work closely with Risk and Legal teams to ensure supplier contracts mitigate legal and reputational risks.
  • Support Information Security teams in conducting due diligence on supplier products and services.
  • Lead strategic sourcing and category management, conducting market analysis, supplier negotiations, and procurement strategy development.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing procurement guidance and influencing commercial decisions.
  • Ensure procurement projects are delivered on time and within budget, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, from requirements gathering and tendering to contract negotiation and handover.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory obligations, including SRA Standards and Regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven procurement experience within a professional services or legal environment.
  • Strong expertise in contract negotiation, covering terms, conditions, and commercial agreements.
  • At least 3 years of procurement experience, ideally within a top-tier law firm or professional services business.
  • A highly organised and process-driven approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build long-term relationships.
  • CIPS qualification or a degree is preferred but not essential.
  • Commercial awareness and a strong understanding of financial and operational risk management.
