Our client, a prestigious international law firm, is seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing and optimising the firm's IT procurement strategy, ensuring best-in-class technology solutions while driving cost efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support IT procurement projects, managing new technology requirements across the firm.
  • Work closely with IT, Advanced Client Services, and other key stakeholders to oversee software and hardware maintenance renewals, ensuring continued value and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Information Security to conduct due diligence on supplier products and services, ensuring compliance with firmwide supplier policies.
  • Partner with Risk Counsel to negotiate supplier contracts that minimise legal and reputational risks.
  • Execute strategic sourcing and category management, including market analysis, supplier negotiations, and procurement strategy development.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, leading procurement initiatives that influence commercial decisions and drive business impact.
  • Ensure procurement projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business needs.
  • Manage the transition of finalised agreements to contract managers, ensuring smooth onboarding and service continuity.
  • Strengthen procurement’s position as a strategic function within the firm by building strong internal and external relationships.
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement projects, from stakeholder requirement gathering to tendering, contract negotiation, and implementation.
  • Support IT and Advanced Client Solutions teams with budget planning and cost management.
  • Ensure all procurement activities align with legal and regulatory obligations, including compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in IT procurement, with a strong understanding of IT sourcing processes.
  • Expertise in negotiating SaaS contracts and other IT-related commercial agreements (e.g., hardware maintenance, telephony, and communications).
  • Solid background in procurement within a professional services or legal environment.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills, including commercial terms and conditions.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a procurement function, ideally within a law firm or professional services setting.
  • A bachelor's degree or CIPS qualification is preferred but not essential.
